Ultimately responsible for all operational processes and metrics related to the day-to-day operations of two Phoenix Stamping Group plants. This role involves managing production, maintenance, tooling, and material handling departments to meet company objectives for safety, quality, cost, and delivery. The Plant Manager will champion the plant's safety program, coordinate training and compliance, and build production schedules aligned with customer demand and inventory goals. A key focus is on improving OEE metrics, including productivity and efficiency, to positively impact on-time delivery and plant output. The position also oversees shipping and receiving, inventory management, and equipment installation projects. Auditing compliance with standard work instructions, reviewing quality metrics, and evaluating staffing levels are crucial. The Plant Manager is responsible for the professional development of supervisors and direct/indirect labor, identifying operator development opportunities, and implementing training programs. They will also assist in developing and monitoring 6S and visual factory tools, stay informed on operational theories, manage the plant P&L, and oversee the Quick and Easy Kaizen (QEK) program. Promoting Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, systematically solving problems, and soliciting employee suggestions for improvement are also key aspects of this role. The Plant Manager must operate within company parameters, champion continuous improvement, maintain an organized and safe work area, and liaise with other departments to ensure operational capabilities and project timelines are met. Ensuring activities meet organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, and environmental policies is essential, along with executing all responsibilities ethically and lawfully.
