About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Plant Manager to own all production output at their Phoenix-area facility. This role is critical for scaling manufacturing capacity and capability to deliver gigawatts of infrastructure per year. The Plant Manager will drive continuous improvement, ensure quality standards, manage site readiness, and build and develop the on-site manufacturing team. The company is focused on delivering AI compute infrastructure at an unprecedented pace and scale, rethinking every layer of the stack from power acquisition to data center operation.

Requirements

Experience running a high-volume discrete manufacturing facility end to end with a proven output record (units per shift, defect rate, on-time delivery, or throughput improvement).
Experience managing a large on-site workforce through a third-party staffing provider and holding that partner accountable to production and quality targets.
Experience taking a facility from construction handover through first production to steady-state output, including managing the ramp, identifying issues, and implementing fixes.
Experience designing production systems: setting takt times, balancing lines, writing standard work, and building visual management boards.
Active daily management of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and environmental permit compliance.
Experience building a floor culture through standard work and clear escalation paths.

Nice To Haves

Structural steel fabrication, heavy equipment assembly, or modular construction manufacturing experience.
Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Experience commissioning robotic weld cells, CNC processing lines, or AGV material handling systems.

Responsibilities

Own all production output at the Phoenix-area facility: throughput rate, takt adherence, quality escape rate, line uptime, and on-time shipment against customer delivery commitments.
Drive continuous improvement across all production lines, including root-cause analysis and corrective action on every throughput or quality deviation, from the line floor up.
Hold final product acceptance authority: nothing ships without your sign-off or explicit delegation, and you own the workforce interface with the on-site staffing partner to enforce that standard.
Own site readiness across tooling, fixturing, material flow, equipment, utilities, and floor layout, including all contractor and vendor relationships and full OSHA, NFPA 70E, and air quality permit compliance.
Build and develop the on-site manufacturing team, including production managers, supervisors, quality, and facilities staff, and own workforce planning across headcount ramp, shift structure, skill mix, and certification tracking.
