About The Position

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading a team to achieve operational excellence and deliver outstanding customer service in the ready mix concrete industry. This role involves managing daily plant operations, including staff scheduling, load planning, and route optimization, while championing customer service and fostering a culture of safety. The Plant Manager will also drive performance through metric monitoring, promote teamwork, build relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting to enhance plant efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, coach, and develop the plant team to achieve operational excellence and deliver outstanding service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, load planning, and route optimization for efficient and timely concrete deliveries.
  • Collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and sales teams to exceed customer expectations and resolve issues.
  • Implement and monitor key metrics to assess plant efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, creating a safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review performance, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
  • Develop strong connections with customers, suppliers, and SRM team members.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting, sharing insights to enhance plant efficiency and profitability.
