About The Position

In this highly visible role, the Plant Manager is responsible for the daily management and coordination of plant operations including production, operations, and shipping. This is a hands-on position that is responsible for the development of policies and procedures designed to increase productivity, assure quality, and timely and accurate delivery of finished products to our customers. The Plant Manager will provide direction to supervisors, offering professional expertise and monitoring performance to ensure that departmental and individual objectives are achieved. This leader will motivate employees to perform at, or above, expected levels while maintaining a safe, legally compliant workplace, and enforcing compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years’ experience as a plant manager.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor.
  • Metalworking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and continuously improve the quality of our products and responsiveness to our customers’ needs as directed.
  • Monitor and continuously improve employee productivity by department.
  • Evaluate supervisor performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.
  • Support training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities safely and effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and ensure enforcement of safety standards.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Record of hands-on leadership resulting in improved operations in a manufacturing facility, including but not limited to quality and productivity.
  • Experience identifying measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to set expectations and monitor progress of all direct reports, and motivate, inspire, provide feedback to, and accept feedback from, employees.
  • Possess prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, listening, problem solving, organizational, and follow through skills that can achieve results by working through others.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
