What You Will Do We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Plant Manager to lead our production teams in a safe, defect-free food production environment. You will oversee our 60,000 square foot, SQF 2000 Level 3 Certified facility in Noblesville, IN. You are a positive, hands-on leader with experience in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing facility. A skilled communicator who takes initiative, you maintain a safe and efficient work environment and seek opportunities for improvement. Requirements

  • 7+ years food manufacturing experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
  • Deep knowledge of USDA requirements
  • HACCP certified preferred (certification required upon employment)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in food science, engineering, or related field preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead staff of supervisors, production and material handling associates, training them to adhere to Butterfield’s Quality Policy of “On-time, Defect-free”
  • Develop manufacturing processes as needed, and participate actively in all new product discussions (some local travel required)
  • Achieve safe plant working conditions, including zero lost time accident mentality
  • Assist QA Manager with achieving full regulatory compliance
  • Monitor direct labor costs to meet revenue goals
  • Manage materials team to optimize inventory turns based on Cost of Goods Sold
  • Act as secondary point of contact for USDA inspectors and 3rd party auditors, and coordinate internal improvement initiatives
  • Participate actively in all capital equipment deliberations
  • Maintain plant’s union-free status by ensuring favorable working conditions
  • Attend relevant continuing education technical seminars
