About The Position

An inspirational, process-oriented, self-driven individual to lead the Ohio Magnetics business.  Individual will be responsible for the stand-alone P&L of the business.  A critical and strategic thinker that utilizes experience, tools, and methodologies to balance short term results with long term growth objectives.  An individual who seeks continuous improvement across all facets of the business and challenges the status quo.  A coach, guide and trusted advisor to the business constituents who leads with empathy yet holds self and people accountable for results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). 
  • 7+ years Operations experience in Industrial product manufacturing businesses.  
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers, sales team, and or channel partners.
  • Ability to lead with empathy, inspire people and create a collaborative ‘high performance’ culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in metal fabrication operations (metal machining, welding) and assembly is preferred.
  • Demonstrated Lean manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Experience launching new products through a structured process preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize operational goals and objectives, champion the business system, and manage the business to meet operating Plan and corporate goals. Establish goals and drive improvement of key performance measures as determined each year.
  • Lead HBD Business System Adoption by deploying tools and structured approach to Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, and Growth.
  • Lead the team of functional leaders in solving specific challenges and overcoming roadblocks when necessary, to improve the effectiveness and productivity in the business.
  • Champion cost improvement activities to reduce product cost while maintaining or improving quality levels.
  • Drive the preparation for reporting monthly metrics and meetings. Drive goal setting and monthly action plans for functional areas of responsibility.
  • Enhance the culture of exceptional customer service and 100% on time delivery 
  • Interface with customers on key issues to resolve and communicate action plans as needed.
  • Provide the leadership necessary for the development and execution of a market driven strategic plan to identify and drive revenue growth, market-share gain, and operating profit improvement.        Lead the commercial team to develop and drive execution of new product roadmap.
  • Be the Safety advocate for the business and build a ‘safety first’ culture in the organization.  In working with the corporate resources, institute systems, processes and metrics to track and develop the best in class ‘safe workplace’ for our associates.
