Requirements

Passion for Health & Safety and Quality
Post-Secondary degree or diploma in food science, business, engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably CPG
Minimum of 5-7 years in management role with strong leadership experience
Strong understanding and experience working in a manufacturing environment complimented with professional written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
Strong business acumen including decision making ability using various analytical tools
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in automated manufacturing operations would be considered and asset
Previous experience in a union facility would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

Identify and implement Best Practices across all functional areas
Identify staffing requirements for both salary and hourly positions
Preparing and execute the budget, as it relates to production costs
Oversee and review production costs, labour utilization, yield, along with opportunities for cost improvement initiatives
Oversee execution of warehousing and shipping and receiving operations for Western United States
Ensure manufacturing runs efficiently and at the highest safety and quality standards
Setting and delivering operating budgets
Develop systems and processes to optimize productivity and surpass performance targets
Leading and engaging approximately 60 non-unionized and management team members to achieve company goals
Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
Maintain facility infrastructure standards consistent with company image
Be an example to all employees in all areas of the business through demonstrated professionalism, positive employee relations and the ability to make accurate and timely decisions
