About The Position

Koch & Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to be part of their woodworking team. We are a fast-growing privately owned, semi-custom cabinet manufacturer. The Plant Manager will provide technical expertise, innovation and leadership to drive production activities for the division, including problem resolution, production completion, quality assurance, safety, maintenance, shipping and receiving. Knowledge of the cabinet and/or furniture industry, including wood species and assembly techniques. Willing to adapt to Koch & Co. assembly procedures and processes, assuring that the end-product is built to standards and specifications set forth by Koch and Co., Inc. Excellent teamwork facilitation skills. Strong problem solving and leadership skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced facility with attention to detail while meeting production schedules and deadlines. Plant activities will include: cabinet door build, face frame build, applying primer with an automated spray finish machine.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the cabinet and/or furniture industry, including wood species and assembly techniques.
  • Willing to adapt to Koch & Co. assembly procedures and processes, assuring that the end-product is built to standards and specifications set forth by Koch and Co., Inc.
  • Excellent teamwork facilitation skills.

  • Must work without the influence of illicit drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicating substances.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all employees while meeting production labor goals and completing daily production schedules.
  • Execute projects that target improvement in production processes.
  • Establish, document, and implement standard procedures based on empirical results.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance procedures and schedules on all equipment.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure conformance to documented best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with floor supervisors to solve problems and create opportunities.
  • Provide technical training to employees.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and communicate with maintenance employees.
  • Ensure production schedules are met daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.
