About The Position

The Plant Manager is a customer‑focused and employee‑centered leader responsible for driving safety, operational excellence and financial performance. In this role, you establish clear goals and a compelling vision for the plant, equipping teams with the coaching, support, and resources needed to excel across all operational functions—including materials management, machining, assembly, shipping/receiving, and warehousing. You translate business unit and supply chain strategies into measurable KPIs and ensure they are monitored and acted on daily. You recognize and celebrate team achievements related to customer delivery, quality, engagement, cost management, health and safety, and environmental performance. You hold your team accountable while helping them navigate challenges through strong communication, a hands‑on leadership presence, and solid analytical and organizational skills. As the senior leader of the facility, you champion continuous improvement by applying Lean principles and leading effective change management initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration; Master’s preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of operations experience across materials management, machining, assembly, or quality; machining experience a plus.
  • 5+ years of direct plant management in a multi‑product industrial or automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading materials transformation; ERP implementation experience preferred.
  • Required capabilities: customer focus, Lean principles, financial and operational execution, relationship building, team development, inventory management, problem‑solving, change management, strategic thinking, and project management.
  • Helpful certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS, ISO, Oracle ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Partner across functions—including product management, HR, and procurement—to plan, resource, and deliver products and key projects.
  • Use KPIs and action plans to drive effective daily management across materials, quality, machining, assembly, shipping/receiving, and warehousing.
  • Build an engaged, inclusive, high‑performing culture rooted in safety and quality.
  • Lead transformational change aligned with business unit strategies.
  • Develop and coach employees while strengthening people and process capabilities to support sustainable improvement.
  • Maintain a proactive, zero‑injury safety environment.
  • Strengthen the plant quality system to enhance customer satisfaction, DPPM, first‑pass yield, and warranty performance.
  • Respond proactively to customer needs, including delivery requirements, schedule adjustments, and special instructions.
  • Oversee maintenance, facilities, and manufacturing engineering, including process improvements, facility upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Guide plant teams in capital planning, materials management, and productivity improvements across labor and overhead.
  • Own and manage the annual operating plan in alignment with business financial forecasts.
