About The Position

Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Plant Manager to lead our Jackson, Mississippi site. Relocation assistance will be provided. Our union site has over 550 employees across 2 shifts developing aircraft hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, electric motor driven pumps, and hydraulic storage. This unique site is an end-to-end business facility (Complete Product Design, Development and Product Qualification, Product Prototyping, Onsite Machining, Production & Aftermarket), and an FAA/EASA/CAAC Certified Repair and Overhaul Facility. Our Plant Managers are responsible for driving strategic and operational leadership. They drive profit and loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of manager of people experience.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on a continual and on-going basis.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes:
  • Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Working knowledge of Program Management tools such as ProLaunch.
  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving)

Responsibilities

  • Manage both operational leadership team and functional staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Act with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to drive Key Performance Indicators.
  • Emphasize utilization of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S+) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans.
  • Champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Foster a Quality culture of early detection and escalations across the site to reduce cost, drive efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with Human Resources to drive a talent management, learning, communication, and development strategies.
