Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or plant management experience
- Strong understanding of operations, productivity, costs, and business performance
- Experience leading teams and building a positive culture
- Natural leader who enjoys developing people
- Strong manufacturing and operational experience
- Data-driven decision maker
- Excellent communicator and problem solver
- Comfortable holding people accountable while building positive relationships
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
Nice To Haves
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
- OSHA certification
- ERP system experience such as Jobscope
Responsibilities
- Inspire and develop production leaders and employees
- Create a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Coach employees, develop future leaders, and build a winning team
- Lead hiring, employee development, corrective action, and performance management activities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations
- Ensure projects are produced safely, efficiently, and on time
- Improve productivity, reduce waste, and drive operational performance
- Keep production moving while maintaining high quality standards
- Manage budgets and production costs
- Analyze operational metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Find creative ways to increase efficiency and profitability
- Help transform strategy into measurable results
- Partner with Sales, Project Management, Estimating, Design, Shipping, and Installation teams
- Remove obstacles, improve communication, and keep projects moving forward
- Help ensure customer expectations are exceeded every step of the way
