The Plant Manager leads all departments within the plant, working with department supervisors and the production manager to ensure safety, quality, and efficient production. This role involves coordinating production, distribution, and warehousing, and developing plans for the optimal use of resources. The Plant Manager also reviews production costs and product quality, modifies programs to maintain profitability, directs the preparation of various records, recommends budgets, and assists in employee contract negotiations. A key aspect of the role is maintaining positive working relationships with sales and customer service management, and systematically reviewing financial performance to identify opportunities for sales growth and cost savings. Additionally, the Plant Manager coordinates plant safety, environmental, and training activities in conjunction with the Human Resources Department and must comply with all company policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
