As a Plant Manager, you’ll be part of our Stanley Engineered Fastening team overseeing our two Chesterfield, MI locations, as well as our Troy, MI location, working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to assume overall leadership of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory and People (SQCDIP) for products and processes. You will have complete responsibility for site(s) financial performance. You will directly interact with all support functions including Commercial, Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, Security, HR, Finance, Engineering, and Supply chain to ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of labor, materials, and machines. You will support new product development plans by collaborating with the relevant product managers to improve product profiles, cost, standards, profits, and availability. You will lead and manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, digital factory, and plant performance measures. You will provide plant and team leadership through visioning, goals, expectations, performance management, coaching and communication, employee engagement, employee development, and employee relations. You will provide leadership for root cause analysis and effective problem solving, yielding immediate and long-term corrective actions and sustainable enhancements. You will ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations (e.g. OSHA), as well as all company policies and standards, including cost control, human resources, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and waste reduction. You will manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand. You will support the development of an accurate annual budget, effectively manage the budget, and provide analysis for forecasting changes. You will support IBP/S&OP through effectively monitoring demand forecast and comparing/converting it into supply forecast factoring in head/tail winds for labor, material, and machines. You will effectively plan for, budget for, and manage operations headcount needs driving strong labor efficiencies. You will identify, justify, communicate, and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects. You will balance work cell loading across the plant and leverage strong material flow optimization opportunities. You will continually benchmark and drive effective application of best practices and upskilling of our associates.
