Plant Manager, Multi-Site Operations
About The Position
Clemens Food Group is seeking a General Manager to lead two strategic Pennsylvania facilities: our Hatfield smoked meats plant and our Tyrone bacon production facility. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can build strong teams, drive operational discipline, and lead growth across a complex food manufacturing environment. You will lead a two-plant system with approximately 600 Team Members and ownership of operational performance across both sites. Your work will directly influence safety, food safety, quality, efficiency, cost performance, team development, customer service, and long-term growth. This role is central to our continued expansion, including improved processes, increased capacity, and new product lines.
Requirements
- Proven operations leader with experience managing multiple production sites or a large-scale food manufacturing facility.
- Understands the pace, complexity, and discipline required in food manufacturing.
- Can lead through both structure and influence.
- Experience in protein, pork, smoked meats, bacon, or packaged foods is strongly preferred.
- Strong plant operations leadership.
- Multi-site or large-scale manufacturing experience.
- Lean manufacturing, safety, quality, and food safety systems knowledge.
- Financial and budget ownership.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to develop leaders and engage diverse teams.
- Servant leadership approach.
- Humble, transparent, adaptable communication style.
- Comfort challenging the status quo while building trust.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing and packaging operations across Hatfield and Tyrone.
- Drive performance across safety, food safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, labor, cost, and culture.
- Own the operational budget, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Build, coach, and develop leaders across manufacturing and maintenance.
- Partner with engineering and operations leaders to improve processes, leverage automation, and implement new technologies.
- Create clarity, accountability, and alignment across two facilities.
- Travel regularly between Hatfield and Tyrone to stay connected to both operations and teams.
