About The Position

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall direction, control, and management of all activities within the manufacturing and logistical operations of the company. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans for manufacturing and operations to maximize capacity utilization and achieve growth and profit objectives. The Plant Manager formulates policies, programs, and objectives related to production schedule, quality, and cost. They direct and coordinate production according to specifications, oversee the planning and implementation of production plans, and identify technological advances to maintain competitiveness. A key aspect of this role is leading the implementation of new manufacturing initiatives, including resource allocation, application of good manufacturing principles, and improving production systems for efficiency and adherence to best practices. The Plant Manager provides strong leadership to plant employees, fostering high morale, teamwork, and good employee relations. They ensure all manufacturing departments are properly staffed and coordinated, promote favorable employee relations, and oversee all plant operations and logistics while maintaining financial discipline and a high quality standard. The role requires meeting and exceeding performance targets to ensure profitability and compliance with group systems, guidelines, and policies. Additionally, the Plant Manager supervises and provides technical guidance to team members, appraises subordinate performance in liaison with HR, and performs other duties as assigned by the President or CEO.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing and operational strategic plans and oversee their implementation to ensure maximum capacity utilization towards achieving group strategy, growth, and profit objectives.
  • Formulate policies, programs, and objectives affecting schedule, quality, and cost of manufactured products.
  • Direct and coordinate production according to quality and quantity specifications within cost objectives.
  • Oversee planning and implementation of production plans, including receiving sales forecasts and requisitioning raw materials.
  • Identify and adapt technological advances to meet competitive objectives.
  • Lead the implementation of new manufacturing initiatives, including strategic resource allocation and application of good manufacturing principles.
  • Provide strong leadership to plant employees, ensuring high morale, teamwork, and good employee relations.
  • Ensure all departments within the manufacturing area are properly staffed and coordinated.
  • Promote the development of favorable employee relations.
  • Oversee all operations and logistics of all plants and maintain financial discipline.
  • Maintain a high quality of consciousness and meet/exceed performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance to all group systems, guidelines, and policies.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to all team members.
  • Appraise performance of subordinates in liaison with the Human Resource Department.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the President or CEO.
