About The Position

thyssenkrupp is seeking an experienced Plant Manager II to lead warehouse and production operations at our Acworth, GA facility. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that works directly on the warehouse floor and around heavy machinery. Safety and people come first at this location, and the Plant Manager II is expected to set the tone through active leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Behavioral Science)
  • Minimum of two years of direct warehouse supervision or team leadership experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of basic Lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated safety mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of plant, warehouse, or operations management experience, with increasing scope and responsibility
  • MBA, Master’s degree, or Ph.D. is a plus
  • Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, Lean practices, and sales functions
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, lead, and develop high‑performing teams

Responsibilities

  • Supervise branch production using RMAS Warehouse Management System and available production planning tools
  • Develop, clarify, and enforce procedures to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees and visitors
  • Ensure all operations and equipment comply with corporate guidelines and OSHA standards
  • Verify inventory accuracy and make adjustments as needed
  • Hire, train, schedule, and motivate warehouse employees to build bench strength, improve retention, and support employee development
  • Maintain equipment to ensure maximum availability and minimal downtime
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases to enhance quality, capabilities, and productivity
  • Communicate and track progress related to company safety goals, returns and allowances, and on‑time shipment and delivery
  • Oversee building maintenance and facility security
  • Monitor quality and process improvement initiatives using SAP reports
  • Ensure preventive and corrective actions are followed to eliminate practices that do not meet customer requirements
  • Administer progressive discipline in alignment with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure timely and effective support of the sales team and customers
  • Assist with customer issues, including on-site visits when required
  • Facilitate Lean practices throughout the plant
  • Purchase or direct the purchase of warehouse supplies required to meet work instructions and customer requirements
  • Attend regional and corporate meetings as needed
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Assist in contract negotiations, when applicable
  • Meet TKMNA employee attributes and competency expectations
