About The Position

Perform maintenance repair in the rendering plant and facility in a safe and efficient manner as directed by the supervisor. This is a 1st shift position, working from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Requirements

Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Welding experience
Must have experience in industrial machinery maintenance and repair
Must be able to effectively communicate verbal and written instructions in English
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must have the physical dexterity to climb, crawl and maneuver around confined and or tight spaces
Less than 5% travel requirement

Responsibilities

Weld, cut, and drill steel and stainless steel
Must be familiar with safe work practices including but not limited to, lock out tag out, confined space entry, ladder and climbing safety, hot works, etc.
Must be able to work with electrical equipment e.g. breakers, fuses, heaters, switches, controls, etc…
Repair pipefitting and plumbing
Wire, repair and replace motors
Repair and replace gear drives
Repair, rebuild and replace pumps
Repair high pressure hydraulics, and steam systems
Perform general cleaning and painting
Lift, move, mount and rig heavy and awkward equipment
Repair, maintain and assist with operations of the Plant, Mill Room, Shipping and receiving, Waste Water Treatment area, etc…
Maintain and troubleshoot Boilers including blow down, startup and shutdown
Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
Follow department and company procedures
Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time are business needs evolve over time.
