About The Position

Champion Home Builders Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker for its Mansfield, Texas plant. The role installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. The worker may also be temporarily assigned non-maintenance duties. Champion describes its goal as providing a safe, productive, and enjoyable workplace for employees.

Requirements

One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Listen for unusual sounds and discuss variations in machine operation with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and repair machines.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
Schedule maintenance so it does not hinder production timelines.
Coordinate repairs in a timely manner to help production meet scheduled timelines.
Install and repair electrical apparatus, including transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
Perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis if required.
