About The Position
The Maintenance Worker 3 position performs preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 years experience with rendering or other similar equipment.
- Advanced welding, piping and fabrication skills a must.
Nice To Haves
- Vocational school training preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance and equipment operations.
- General mechanical aptitude; able to diagnosis problems with motors and other equipment.
- Good math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Must pass skills test on 480V combination starter/breaker box and control voltage for combination box.
- Demonstrated advance welding skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the installation of new equipment.
- Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
- Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
- Trains Level 1 and 2 Maintenance personnel.
- Troubleshoots and repairs process machinery and hydraulic equipment.
- Changes electrical breakers and electrical starters; operates voltage, amp, and ohm meters.
- Maintains clean, neat and orderly work area at all times.
- Responsible for using assigned safety equipment including a bump cap, safety glasses or goggles, welding protection, and a safety harness; responsible for being familiar with and observing all Company safety rules and regulations.
- Attends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
- All other duties as assigned.
