Plant Maintenance Technician Aledo, Texas

Smyrna Ready Mix, LLCAledo, TX
Onsite

About The Position

At SRM Concrete, we’re looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician who thrives on variety and takes pride in keeping things running—no matter what the day brings. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems on the fly, and making a real impact every shift, this could be the perfect fit for you. This role involves keeping our plant running strong by handling a wide range of maintenance tasks, inspecting equipment and systems regularly to spot issues before they become problems, and performing scheduled preventative maintenance to help avoid breakdowns and keep production moving. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they come up, using your skills and resourcefulness to get us back on track fast. Your welding know-how will be used for fabricating, repairing, or reinforcing plant equipment and structures. You will work closely with plant leaders to prioritize what needs fixing first, always with an eye on what keeps the plant running best. Maintaining clear records of your work is essential, as is staying sharp by learning new techniques and keeping up with the latest safety protocols. You will also team up with outside experts when a job calls for specialized skills and help keep the plant safe by spotting hazards and taking action to correct them. At SRM, everyone pitches in to get the job done.

  • Committed to safety and familiar with plant safety rules and regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a vocational degree is a bonus.
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable operating plant machinery.
  • Willing to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
  • Ready to step up for emergency repairs—even if it means nights or weekends.
