About The Position

We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician for the Leesville, LA plant. This role installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. The technician will visually inspect and test machinery, listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions, and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines. They will also dismantle defective machines and equipment, install new or repaired parts, and clean and lubricate machinery components. Scheduling and coordinating repairs in a timely manner to avoid hindering the production team is crucial. Additionally, the role involves installing and repairing electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. The technician will also lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the establishment is also part of the responsibilities. The role may require performing non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Requirements

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background check and Drug Screen are required.

Responsibilities

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Schedules maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
Coordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
