This position is responsible for safely keeping equipment running and maintained properly throughout Central Region.

Requirements

  • High school GED equivalent or higher, military, or work experience in related field. (Concrete, Construction, Asphalt, Aggregate production)
  • Knowledge or Mechanical and/or Electrical plus Welding.

Responsibilities

  • Available to work Monday - Friday and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to do some travel with overnight.
  • Responsible to provide basic hand tools, battery and pneumatic and some specialty tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper licensures, medical card and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of all types of equipment and / or assisting with repairs/improvements/maintenance of equipment to ensure proper safety working conditions.
  • Troubleshooting equipment (visually and audibly) maintenance problems to properly diagnose components to determine method and extent of repair necessary.
  • Read, interpret, analyze and apply information in technical manuals and schematics.
  • To communicate effectively (verbal, listen & written).
  • Frequent contact and communication with others within and outside the company.
  • Self-motivated, team-player, ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • To properly and safely operate cutting torches and perform welding tasks.
  • Fill out and maintain all needed forms, i.e. (timecards, vehicle inspection, safety forms, work orders)
  • Drive and maintain mechanics work truck.
  • Properly and safely operate/use and maintain specialized equipment/tools.
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulations compliance.
  • Clean, maintain and prepare work areas.
  • Must be capable of obtaining CDL.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
