About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs as scheduled or required in order to attain maximum productivity and functionality in plant operations. The employee in this role must have strong communication, observational, and operational skills with an unbending focus on safety. This role supports high performance in a professional healthcare and hospitality laundry environment through cleanliness and infection prevention, working in conjunction with operations to keep equipment operating at a high level of efficiency. Projects and tasks may include industrial equipment repair and/or maintenance, construction type tasks (painting, patching holes, etc.), electrical, plumbing, and electronic work.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively complete mechanical or electrical tasks in an industrial environment.
• Must exhibit self-initiative, accountability, and flexibility.
• Must have basic computer use skill set.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma, Technical Certification, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High Pressure Boiler License Preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsibly follow all procedures and policies with regards to repairs and maintenance.
• Responsible to complete assigned tasks and projects in a highly effective, efficient, and safe manner.

• Works in conjunction with operations to keep equipment operating at a high level of efficiency.
• Completes tasks and projects as assigned and completes proper documentation as appropriate.
• Participate and add value to committees, meetings, activities as called on by the manager.
• Maintains an environment that is safe through cleanliness and in an orderly condition.
• Demonstrates and promotes Superior Linen Service culture and value.
• Communicates in a professional and courteous manner to all employees and managers.
• Constant reminder of safety in all aspects of operations.
• Promotes a harassment free environment, reporting any issues to management.
• Completes documentation as required, including computer data entry.
