About The Position

Wilson Trailer Company has a full-time day shift PLANT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR position open in Yankton, SD. This is an excellent career opportunity with a leader in the truck trailer industry. The day-shift is currently starting at 6:00 am until 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer an attractive starting wage with scheduled increases and a full benefit package. Nice To Haves

  • An AA or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus
  • Four plus years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience
  • HVAC Vacuum furnace experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints & diagrams
  • Confident computer user
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Strong team player
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct maintenance mechanics in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant manufacturing equipment including electrical, precision mechanical, and fluid power systems on metalworking equipment such as shears, press brakes, CNC machine tools and lasers, and conventional machine tools.
  • Responsible for equipment, building and grounds maintenance.
  • Maintains and improves preventative maintenance program.
  • Schedules maintenance operations to limit downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Responsible for building jigs and fixtures in house as determined.
  • Comprehend Lean principles and participate in Lean activities.
  • Responsible for documenting inspections of company equipment as required.
  • Works with outside vendors for parts and repairs to plant equipment.
  • Controls the energy management system.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment & systems.
  • Comply with Company and OSHA Safety and Health rules to provide a safe working environment.
  • Support Company Safety and Health program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Promotes safe work culture, maintains safe working conditions, and uses 5S principles.
