About The Position

Unilock is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic at its growing Marengo, Illinois facility. The company describes its facilities as safe, modern, and fully automated. The mechanic maintains and repairs production equipment and plant facilities, supports workplace safety, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and documents completed work. The role also includes maintaining clean and orderly work areas and assisting across maintenance and production as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to assist when needed in all areas of maintenance and production.
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive work with the hands and/or arms above and below shoulder level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production equipment and plant facilities to help ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform Maintenance Mechanic duties safely.
• Repair production equipment promptly as required.
• Implement and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
• Accurately report maintenance work performed.
• Complete work orders and accurately track time and parts consumption.
• Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of work areas.
• Assist in all areas of maintenance and production when needed.
• Carry out other related duties as needed to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
