About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role performs preventative maintenance and repairs on ready mix plant equipment to maximize operational uptime. It involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems associated with plant operations. The position also includes inspecting, maintaining, and replacing components such as conveyors, mixers, motors, gearboxes, and related production equipment. Additionally, the role involves performing maintenance and repair work on ready mix concrete trucks, including routine inspections and mechanical repairs. The Plant Maintenance Mechanic/Utility Person will partner with operations teams to support safe, reliable, and productive performance across multiple ready mix plant locations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and travel between multiple ready mix plant locations as needed.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ready mix plant equipment to maximize operational uptime.
