About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Generalist will have a rotating schedule of 3-day and 4-day workweeks with 12-hour shifts. The pay ranges from $24.10 to $30.15 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate and/or student of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis
• Willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours
• Willing to complete all required training for the job
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned
• Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment
• Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods
• Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
• Train maintenance techs on equipment
• Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance
• Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
• Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production
• Set up, adjust and break down production line machinery
• Make work orders and fill out daily documentation using Tyson SAP software
• Communicate with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers
• Make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
