About The Position
Contech is hiring a Plant Leader for its Pelham, Alabama plant. The role coordinates production and shipping activities and supports smooth, productive plant operations. The Plant Leader organizes the workforce, collaborates with plant management and quality control to address production issues and maintain quality standards, oversees loading and shipment accuracy, monitors accessory inventories, and trains laborers in plant operations and safety protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience working with equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience as a lead or supervisor.
- Strong organizational and math skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate daily production and shipping schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- Organize and manage the workforce to maintain optimal productivity.
- Collaborate with plant management and quality control to resolve production issues and maintain quality standards.
- Oversee loading activities, inspect loads for accuracy, and ensure the integrity of product shipments.
- Periodically check accessory inventories and provide recommendations to plant management.
- Train laborers in plant operations and safety protocols.
