Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Utility Worker for our plant in Garden City, KS. This entry-level general labor position starts at a competitive, entry-level wage of $20.49/hour. Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Authorized to work in the US.
Valid driver's license.
Demonstrated ability to use standard hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches as well as power tools such as drills, impact drivers, and saws.
Ability to handle up to 50 lbs.
Ability to follow both written and verbal directions, including Darling's Life-Saving Rules in the workplace.
Positive can-do attitude.
Team player with a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing, production, industrial, or agricultural experience is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
A class B CDL license with a tanker endorsement would be a plus!

Responsibilities

Provide critical help in keeping our operation running smoothly by helping to keep raw materials and finished products moving within the plant as well as keeping things clean and sanitary.
Perform a variety of general labor tasks.
Using a high-pressure hose, wash the parking lot, plant equipment, and the surrounding areas of our manufacturing plant.
Paint and wash plant equipment and building fixtures as needed.
Drive a company vehicle to get around the plant and property.
Load and unload trailers at the dock, accurately report on the condition of the raw materials and the interior of the trucks.
