About The Position
The Winter Intern collaborates with technical staff to support special projects, data entry, maintenance, and day-to-day operations. The role provides an opportunity to apply engineering principles and classroom knowledge to practical projects during the winter academic break. Through hands-on experience, the intern gains technical skills, contributes to ongoing project initiatives, and develops an understanding of professional engineering practices and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the Management of Change process by developing and implementing new ideas and initiatives.
- Maintain plant housekeeping and security.
- Assist in developing standard operational procedures as assigned.
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks, routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting as assigned.
- Assist with operational and mechanical activities to maximize plant availability and reliability.
- Complete required plant training.
- Perform other projects as assigned.
