About The Position

Ryan Lawn & Tree is seeking dedicated individuals passionate about tree and plant wellness to join their expanding Plant Health Care team. This role involves developing tailored plant health care programs to maintain the beauty of clients' landscapes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A strong aptitude for learning is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a reliable, detail-oriented work ethic are a must.
  • The ability to obtain a state pesticide applicator license (KS 3A/3B or MO 3) within the first three months of employment.
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Must meet all screening requirements for a safety-sensitive position, including pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in horticulture or agricultural sciences is preferred.
  • Prior experience in horticulture or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive on-site evaluations to accurately diagnose plant health issues, including the identification of common pests and diseases.
  • Implement Integrated Pest Management strategies by administering both preventative and corrective plant treatments within a designated territory of 800 to 1,200 clients.
  • Operate a 300-gallon John Bean spray rig equipped with a 400-foot hose on a daily basis to execute annual maintenance plans for clientele.
  • Communicate professional recommendations and service details effectively to clients.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality results by effectively collaborating with a team while also having the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of plant identification, common diseases, and insect pests.
  • Actively participate in a structured, education-focused talent development program to advance professional expertise.
