The Plant General Manager is accountable for the profit and loss of the facility, ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance with company policies, state, and federal regulations. This role oversees all manufacturing operations, including throughput, cost and waste control, maintenance, quality, inventory control, and meeting budgeted production metrics. Additionally, the Plant General Manager is responsible for sales, including local sales, customer service, partnering with the sales manager to establish and meet facility sales goals, identifying and targeting market segments, and deploying division pricing strategy. Strategic planning, including business, marketing, and capital planning processes, is also a key responsibility. The role involves maintaining and supporting positive labor relations, managing human resources functions such as workforce engagement, diversity, recruiting and hiring, employee and leadership development, and employee labor relations. Financial management, including establishing and managing budgets and compliance with financial controls, is also a critical aspect of this position.
