Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience cleaning/remediating equipment within an industrial site
  • Minimum one (1) experience cleaning above ground tanks
  • Experience with on-site operation of Tank Cleaning in a chemical plant or refinery.
  • Valid driver’s license or State I.D.
  • Must successfully complete 40 hour HAZWoper training.
  • Must successfully pass a company physical and wear a respirator.
  • Must be able to physically perform duties while wearing person protective equipment.
  • Must able and willing to travel 5-10% within Midwest processing region
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired
  • Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Clean tanks, distillation units, solid distillation systems and other applicable plant-based equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on applicable equipment within department
  • Perform cleaning and remediation activities within plant departments
  • Required to participate in mandatory after-hour call-ins as business needs dictate (unforeseen spills, equipment blockages etc.)
  • Prepare and operate hydro-blasting equipment in preparation for routine tasks and projects in addition to breaking down and placing in storage upon project/task completion
  • Ensure cleanliness of designated task or work area upon each job/project completion
  • Obtain and maintain confined space certification
  • Perform work within confined space settings as needed
  • Utilize a standard respirator and supplied air respirator while performing applicable functions/tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
