About The Position
The Plant Engineer III maintains and repairs hospital equipment and building systems to support a safe working environment. Equipment and systems include mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. The role maintains accurate equipment logs and requires certification and/or licensure in a trade directly related to healthcare engineering.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to troubleshoot and read schematics and/or blueprints.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Certified and/or licensed in a trade related to healthcare engineering, such as steam boiler or HVAC.
Nice To Haves
- Five years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate logs on all hospital equipment.
