About The Position

The Plant Electro-Maintenance Mechanic maintains the operation of equipment and machines in the plant. This role involves installing, repairing, erecting, dismantling, and assembling various plant machinery and electrical/electronic equipment, including components like motors, switches, control boards, PLCs, VFDs, generators, and circuit breakers. The mechanic will also inspect glass forming machines and other factory operating machines, adjust production lines to ensure product flow, and maintain cullet lines and conveyors.

Requirements

Knowledge of gearboxes, VFDs, and job change processes
Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, shop handbooks and layouts
Experience completing routine reports and correspondence
Ability to work a rotating schedule
High School degree or GED
Journeyman cardholder (Mechanical or Electrical) or 5 years of equivalent experience
Must be able to pass a mechanical & electrical skills test in order to be considered
Must have strong problem solving skills
Basic PC literacy (Word, email, basic data entry)
Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be able to work a rotating shift, which includes weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

PLC programming and troubleshooting is a plus
