About The Position

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Plant Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and managing daily manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements. The role involves coordinating work orders and production schedules while serving as the key point of contact between the production team and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in production coordination or planning, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and French (oral and written).
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Production Management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor weekly and daily production schedules to meet delivery deadlines, considering equipment capacity, labor availability, and resource sharing with other plants.
  • Coordinate with customer service teams to provide regular updates on the status of production orders and schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of production by collaborating with other departments.
  • Input daily production data on a daily basis
  • Manage work orders, create bills of lading, and issue invoices using WERPS and the production management system.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure compliance with schedules and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist the Production Manager with day-to-day activities and serve as backup when needed.
  • Track and manage raw material and product inventory in coordination with the purchasing team.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings and provide planning updates for the upcoming week.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective shipping solutions for tooling changes.
  • Complete monthly safety inspections and participate in performance evaluations with the Production Manager.
