About The Position

We are seeking a Plant Chemist to support operations teams on trouble shooting quality issues in process and after batches to determine root causes and correction actions. This role will participate in the design/establishment of mixing and compounding and plant instrumentation equipment capabilities, coordinate process improvement activities, and ensure quality policies and guidelines are established, promoted and adhered to in all activities pertaining to this position. The Plant Chemist will lead the development of new product processing in the manufacturing facility for the customer base and develop improvements to the existing product mix. Additionally, this role will provide support to key market segments and customers by introducing RCH/RCR technology, and be responsible for conducting trials and submitting Lab Test Requests to the Laboratory in order to assist Product Management and Procurement with the approval or disapproval of raw materials procured by Supply Chain. The Plant Chemist will attend morning production/scheduling meetings as an active participant and assist production in the establishment of parameters and processes for new products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong ability to analyze data to develop conclusions
  • Technically skilled in analytical testing & equipment knowledge
  • Ability to work independently, strong ability to make decisions and continuous improvements

Responsibilities
