About The Position
Semiskilled work in the maintenance and operation of power and steam generating equipment, water filtering, purifying, and pumping equipment; and related work as required.
Requirements
- Minimum age limit: 18 years.
- One (1) year of full-time experience in the field of maintenance work requiring the use of common hand tools.
- High school graduation or GED.
- Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify applicant is at least 18 years of age.
- If selected for hire, applicants must provide a state issued identification card, driver's license or birth certificate to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this classification.
- Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and age claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification.
- If selected for hire, applicants must provide their original education documents to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.
- Good moral character is required of all applicants.
- Applicants who are licensed to drive should have a current license on their person for purposes of identification during all phases of an examination.
- In lieu of such license, the Department of City Civil Service may require that applicants have some form of picture identification.
