Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
  • General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
  • Ability to regularly lift large lightweight items above head and lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to work in limited workspace area on consistent basis.
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the safe, controlled start-up and operation of machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and managing the changeover process.
  • Assists in inspecting and measuring completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
  • Assists in monitoring and adjusting controls to ensure product complies with production standards.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
  • Assists in recording quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.

  • Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
  • Additional tasks as requested by management, supervisor and/or lead
