About The Position
Seeking a Plant Accountant to manage financial operations in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, inventory oversight, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance and supporting plant leadership in driving efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
- 2–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting
- Proficient in Excel
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with SQL, PowerQuery a plus
- Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or SysPro preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and conduct variance/cost analysis
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure planning
- Track KPIs for production cost and inventory
- Maintain cost accounting systems and perform standard cost/variance analysis
- Oversee inventory tracking and reconciliation
- Ensure policy compliance and support audits
- Partner with plant teams on financial insights and cost-saving initiatives
- Provide guidance on capital projects
