Plans Examiner Senior
About The Position
The Plans Examiner, SR – Civil performs senior-level review of construction documents for compliance with adopted codes, City standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. This position requires independent judgment in interpreting complex submittals, coordinating corrections across departments, and communicating technical requirements to engineers, developers, and contractors. The ideal candidate brings substantial municipal plan review experience in a high-volume environment and is proficient in electronic plan review platforms. Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $90,833.60/annually.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or closely related field.
- Three years of experience with construction plan review specific to the job assignment or discipline.
- Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
