About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Plans and Exercises (PLEX) Analyst at Ft Huachuca, in Sierra Vista AZ. This role is a strategic thinker with a strong background in military exercise planning, operational management, and Continuity of Operations (COOP). The PLEX Analyst will be the driving force behind our operational readiness, serving as the primary interface for managing operational taskings and executing comprehensive exercise plans. They will work closely with government/military leadership, Global Cyber Center (GCC), Regional Cyber Centers (RCCs), and service providers to ensure the continuous operation and defense of the Department of War Information Network (DoWIN). This position is ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced operational environments, possesses a deep understanding of Army/DoW doctrine, and knows how to turn exercise data into actionable intelligence for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree; 4 years with an Associates Degree
  • DoD Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Proven expertise in planning, execution, and evaluation within a DoW or Army environment.
  • Deep familiarity with Army/DoD doctrine, Tactics, Techniques, Procedures (TTPs), and METs.
  • Hands-on experience developing and testing Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans.
  • Strong background in managing military or government orders and taskings
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with extensive experience writing formal AARs and briefing senior officers/leadership

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and lead formal training exercises, and support the Government in their exercise evaluations of the global RCCs.
  • Build and maintain standardized evaluation frameworks based on Army/DoW doctrine and Mission Essential Tasks (METs).
  • Coordinate with RCC exercise planners to integrate GCC evaluation objectives into their respective exercise designs.
  • Provide training to the RCC personnel on the evaluation framework, data collection methodologies, and their specific roles and responsibilities during their respective sites observation/analysis.
  • Conduct post-exercise root cause analysis and quarterly cross-regional trend analysis.
  • Translate findings into detailed After-Action Reports (AARs) and deliver high-impact briefings to executive leadership.
  • Serve as the central hub for receiving, tracking, and disseminating critical taskings, technical orders, and cyber bulletins from ARCYBER, NETCOM, and other entities.
  • Manage and rigorously test the annual COOP plan (per AR 500-3 and NIST SP 800-34).
  • Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA), define recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), and assess risks for critical services.
