About The Position

Southern Nuclear Operating Company’s Fleet Projects organization provides leadership to deliver solutions to improve project delivery, plant performance, and increase regulatory margin. We are seeking an experienced individual for the Vogtle 3&4 Site Projects Planning Supervisor position. The Site Projects Planning Supervisor leads a group of work planners and schedulers to support implementation of capital projects at the site. This position is responsible for setting and reinforcing management standards and expectations, monitoring performance and providing feedback to assigned personnel. This role also supports initiatives and priorities for the site and fleet. The Site Projects Planning Supervisor represents the department to other plant department stakeholders and works closely with the Site Projects Manager to support project implementation. The Site Projects Planning Supervisor will also support implementation of projects with leadership and oversight of field activities as required. This position is a member of the Fleet Planning working group and the site’s First Line Supervisor council.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years nuclear power experience in Construction, Projects, Engineering, Maintenance, Work Management, or Operations is required.
  • Has a working knowledge of planning and scheduling business software (Maximo, P6).
  • Has a working knowledge of project control techniques, design, work management, and procurement processes.
  • The ability to solve problems and make sound judgments, based on experience and proper risk evaluation tools, to provide timely and appropriate resolutions to issues that might impact personnel safety, plant performance, budget, and project execution.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Previous AP1000 Construction, Projects, Engineering, Maintenance, Work Management, or Operations planning experience is preferred.
  • Eight (8) years or more of nuclear power experience in Construction, Projects, Engineering, Maintenance, Work Management, or Operations is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates issues and drives problem resolution through various levels of management.
  • Effectively interfaces, builds, and sustains relationships with other departments.
