About The Position

You will work with administrative data and assist in creating tools, reports, and visualizations used across the bureau.

Requirements

• Must be a current graduate student majoring in data science, economics, public policy, criminology, sociology, statistics, or a related field.
• Must have strong quantitative research and data analysis skills.
• Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Power BI or other data analysis and visualization tools
• Experience with SQL and Excel

Responsibilities

• Analyze administrative and research data using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools
• Prepare, interpret, and present information for research and evaluation projects
• Assist with staff retention research and workforce data analysis
• Develop dashboards, reports, and other analytical products
• Support additional analytics and evaluation tasks based on bureau priorities

Benefits

• Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $17.88 (before taxes).
