About The Position

Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Planning Intern for the Summer of 2027. With multiple offices in Wisconsin, the successful Planning Intern will work under the direction of a Planner or Project Manager in the Madison and/or Milwaukee, WI office supporting the planning department with technical duties and daily activities. In this internship, you may also have the opportunity to work in the field supporting mapping, planning, and engagement efforts.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Urban Planning or Urban Design
• Focus in transportation and urban mobility preferred.
• Software proficiency – Microsoft Office.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation

Nice To Haves

• Mapping and design software proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning department with technical duties and daily activities.
• Work in the field supporting mapping, planning, and engagement efforts.
