About The Position

The Planning and Assessment Coordinator supports and coordinates institutional planning and assessment processes across all areas of the College. This position facilitates the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of strategic planning, annual planning, and outcomes assessment processes, and serves as a primary resource for planning units in the effective use of the College’s enterprise planning and assessment system. This position may offer flexibility for a hybrid or remote work arrangement, subject to departmental needs and approval. Please note that the College does not sponsor employment-based visas.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Ability to present information and facilitate training for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ability to translate data and assessment results into actionable insights for planning and improvement.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex instructions, policies, and procedures in various formats.
  • Proficiency in enterprise planning and assessment systems, including template design, data entry, and reporting.
  • Ability to retrieve information from student information systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development, revision, and annual evaluation of the College’s comprehensive annual plan.
  • Supports institutional strategic planning processes.
  • Coordinates annual update of the Institutional Effectiveness Plan in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinates institutional planning cycles and communicates timelines, expectations, and updates to planning unit supervisors.
  • Facilitates academic program outcomes assessment processes by collaborating with program faculty, providing guidance and training, and supporting evaluation of results.
  • Facilitates nonacademic service outcomes assessment processes, including training, development, and supporting evaluation of results.
  • Promotes use of assessment results to inform planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Assists in aligning planning and assessment processes with institutional priorities and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serves as an administrator for the College’s enterprise planning and assessment system.
  • Designs and maintains planning and assessment templates, workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Ensures data integrity, consistency, and effective use of the system across all planning units.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to users regarding enterprise planning system.
  • Develops and delivers training on planning, assessment best practices, and effective use of enterprise planning system.
  • Creates and maintains clear documentation to support consistent application of processes and procedures.
  • Serves as a resource guide to planning unit supervisors.
  • Assists with institutional and programmatic accreditation activities, including documentation and reporting related to planning and institutional effectiveness.
  • Supports compliance with accreditation standards related to assessment, planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends, tools, and best practices in higher education planning, assessment, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
