About The Position

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and optimizing all production activities to ensure efficient and on time fulfillment. This role works closely with production/repair, procurement, quality, sales, and logistics teams to align resources, meet customer demand, reduce costs, and maximize overall productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or supply chain or a relevant field, or the equivalent amount of training and hands-on experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position
  • 2+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, or a similar role within an order fulfillment or operations environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think holistically to support fulfillment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, professionally, and persuasively
  • Creative, and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations, and lead through influence
  • Proven track record of supporting continuous improvement projects
  • Self-directed and punctual work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize to meet deadlines and deliver results
  • Ability to travel nationally to Trafera service centers or other locations when necessary
  • Proficient in production planning and scheduling software such as what?
  • Proficient in ERP, such as Infor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, sales, procurement) to ensure schedule adherence and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Monitor progress of fulfillment orders, identifying bottlenecks and proactively addressing potential delays
  • Analyze capacity, material requirements, and labor allocations to optimize work flow and reduce downtime
  • Communicate regularly with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
  • Update and maintain production planning tools and systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
  • Prepare reports on operations performance, schedule attainment, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining production planning and scheduling processes
  • Ensure all scheduling activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
