About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Planner II to develop and manage production schedules. The role involves analyzing capacity and material constraints, coordinating with various departments, and confirming ship dates for customer orders. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP tools.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, lead times, and capacity planning.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Syteline ERP system.
  • Experience with BOM management and engineering change processes.
  • Experience supporting multi-product or complex manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Determine job priorities, quantities, and required completion dates.
  • Direct Planner I on job creation, release timing, and execution priorities.
  • Analyze capacity and material constraints to ensure achievable production plans.
  • Confirm ship dates for new customer orders in coordination with Sales.
  • Evaluate and respond to customer pull-in requests, determining feasibility based on capacity and lead time.
  • Continuously assess part availability, including supplier lead times and inventory, when making planning decisions.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality to align planning activities.
  • Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including updating item revisions and modifying Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Create and maintain item master data and new BOMs.
  • Manage changes impacting production schedules and material requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality on non-conforming materials and determine disposition based on production demand.
  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or unforeseen conditions.
  • Support reporting and performance tracking such as on-time delivery and schedule adherence.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and system accuracy.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
