About The Position

The Planner I works closely with the Production Planning Team and Production to ensure the timely flow of work orders through the plant. This role collaborates with support teams, such as Component Stores, Procurement, and Receiving, to ensure that jobs flow in accordance with the production schedule. The position requires the ability to maintain data and data integrity of the operational production plan, generate, update, and publish lines of balances and customer updates, and coordinate and expedite internal and outside processing to meet on-time delivery targets. The Planner I will release work orders from the Production Plan/Schedule and coordinate their execution with Component Stores and Production Teams. Other planning responsibilities may be assigned. The role demands the ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational and time management skills to manage simultaneous responsibilities and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, and the ability to collaborate and foster positive work relationships.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer literate; have knowledge of MRP, ERP, and be proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word Processing software.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two (2) years experience in Supply Chain or Operations.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage simultaneously responsibilities, organize and prioritize workload accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate, foster, and maintain positive work relationships.

  • PowerBI experience a plus.
