About The Position

We’re seeking a Planner/Buyer who will be responsible for forecasting product specifications and production schedules to accurately determine raw material requirement for both internal production and external manufacturers/assemblers of STI products. Plan, measure, and monitor operating limits and capacities while coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, QC, Accounting, S&R all aligned regarding production schedules and any deviations that may occur. This is a hybrid role based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Somerville, New Jersey.

Requirements

  • BA in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid experience ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Enjoys working with numbers and analyzing data.
  • High degree of accuracy required.
  • Strong analytic skills that support identification and problem resolution for operational efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • CPIM preferred, not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Purchase orders and track status using Acumatica.
  • Daily review of back orders - disseminates status delivery updates to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and enter Transfers and Production Orders in Acumatica.
  • Coordinate components supply in support of the production schedule.
  • Create, maintain and adjust production schedules with internal and external manufacturing/assemblers as necessary.
  • Act as liaison between manufacturing plants/assemblers, Engineering and QC to address and troubleshoot production or quality issues immediately.
  • Monitor and correct inventory errors as necessary.
  • Other duties assigned by management in support of the planning operations.
